The Event
Join us for an intimate conversation with Amélie de Montchalin,
HKS 2014, Secretary of State for European Affairs and leading public figure in French politics.
The conversation will be facilitated by H.E. Michael Starbaek Christensen, Ambassador of Denmark to France, HKS 2004.
SORRY - THIS EVENT IS SOLD OUT!
Amélie will address crucial issues touching Europe at the very moment a new Commission is taking office:
The future of the EU - its current threats and opportunities;
The role of Europe in a multipolar world which is currently taking shape;
The potential of Europe in innovation and technology;
Financial stability and stimulating growth.
Amélie de Montchalin's career in politics, albeit recent, is impressive. She entered Parliament for La République en Marche (LREM) in 2017 and joined the prestigious finance and budgetary committee.
In 2019 she was nominated Secretary of State for European Affairs. As one of three HKS alumni to hold executive and/or legislative offices after the 2016 elections, Amélie exemplifies the change in the profiles of French political leaders.
The Organizers
The event is organized by Audrène Eloit, Secretary General of HCF and Head of the HKS chapter, and Anne-Caroline Urbain, 1st Vice-President of HCF.
